When your Telkomsel card is approaching the grace period or will even be blocked, the only way to avoid it is to increase the active period. Telkomsel itself provides several options for extending Telkomsel’s active period.
So you can try using some of these methods so that the active period of the card does not run out. Because if the card reaches the grace period, then you can only receive calls and SMS.
Extending Telkomsel’s Active Period
Not many people know how to extend the card’s active period from Telkomsel. Usually they never pay attention to the active period and only know when the number is in the grace period. Moreover, the way to extend each card from Telkomsel is different
However, with an explanation of how to extend the active period of Telkomsel for each card, you can apply it according to the card used.
So in order to increase the active period longer, you can use the following methods:
1. SimPATI Card
The SimPATI card became the first product from Telkomsel which was very popular in the early days of cellular phone presence. Until now, the number of SimPATI users is still very large.
If you want to avoid a dead SimPATI number, extend it in the following way:
a. Buy Credit Regularly
The first way to extend the active period of Telkomsel, especially Simpati, is to buy credit directly. You can buy through several top-up providers, such as through ATMs, online shops or counters.
Of course, you already know this first method because buying credit is the easiest and fastest way to increase your active period. Every credit purchase that you make has a different additional active period.
For pulses of 5 thousand, it will add 7 days of active period, 10 thousand will increase by 15 days, then 20 thousand for 30 days and so on until 1 million will increase by 330 days.

b. SimPATI Active Period Package

If your Telkomsel card has never been used for an internet package, it is better to use credit to buy an active period package. So that the active period of your card can be much longer than usual.
You can follow these steps:
- First, make sure your Telkomsel number contains credit.
- Then unlock the cellphone and tap on the Dial Up menu.
- After that type on the phone keypad with the code “*999#” and press the call button.
- A row of menu options will appear and reply with numbers on the words “Other packages”.
- Then it will display a choice of many menus and reply based on the serial number of the menu that reads “Other“and press “Send“.
- On the next menu, reply again with the numbers in the words “Other Services“.
- Next, a new page will be displayed and reply using the numbers next to the words “Other“.
- If you have, you will just find a menu that says “Active Period Packages” and reply according to the serial number of the package name.
- The next step is to choose which active period package you want. Tap the reply column and type in the serial number as before, tap “Send“.
- Wait for an SMS from Telkomsel regarding the extension of the SimPATI card.
There are various active period packages that you can choose from. Starting from the price of 5 thousand for a week, up to 30 thousand for three months or 90 days. Then don’t be confused because this menu is in a hidden position.

2. Ace card
In addition to Telkomsel’s product in the form of SimPATI, there is also a GSM card that is quite well known, namely the AS card. How to extend Telkomsel’s active period for this AS card can be said to be very easy. In more detail, here are the ways:
a. Keep Using Credit For Communication
The way to make Telkomsel AS active period is very unique. Because the only way is to always use an AS card to communicate at least for a span of 30 days.
If during this period there is no activity that sucks credit, then the active period will expire. However, there is a minimum amount of how much credit you must use to communicate.
During these 30 days, at least you have to spend Rp. 500 credits, – only. Of course this method is very easy to do.

b. Recharge Credit

3. Loop Card
Maybe you are not very familiar with the GSM card from Telkomsel with the name Loop card. Although not very well known, there are still quite a lot of Loop card users today.
For the addition of the active period, it turns out to have many similarities with the US card. Here’s the explanation:
a. Top Up Credit
First, you can use the method of extending the active period of Telkomsel Loop by purchasing credit. However, the additional active period you receive can be much longer than the US card.
Purchases of credit with a value of 50 thousand to 100 thousand will have an active period of 60 days. Then above 100 thousand to 250 thousand add 90 days and above 500 thousand add up to 365 days or one year.
b. Spending Credit
The way to extend the active period of the next Loop card is to use credit for SMS and other activities. Credit usage from 5 thousand to 50 thousand will add up to 30 days.
In addition, if you spend pulses starting from 50 thousand to 100 thousand, you can get an additional 60 days of active period. This means that the number of additional active periods from using credit is the same as the active period from buying credit.
