Synopsis of Ustad Millenial
Ustad Millenial has a story that is set in the Yogyakarta area which is still very thick with the use of the Javanese language. There was a young man named Ahmad who had just graduated from a boarding school but he had to go home soon because his father was sick.
Ahmad himself since childhood has dreamed of becoming a Da’i or preacher and his dream was strongly supported by his father.
He is now getting a scholarship to continue his education in Cairo, Egypt. But the life choices that happened to him really made him a dilemma and it was very difficult to make any choice.
His father is now sickly and he willed that Ahmad continue the family business, namely the workshop and asked him to take care of his mother and younger sister.
He has a younger sister named Aisyah, she is very fond of selfies and sharing them on social media. In addition, Aisyah is currently studying and requires a large amount of money to continue to study.
Meanwhile, his mother, Maemunah, has her own problems and doesn’t want to bother Ahmad. Even his family currently has a debt to the bank of 2 billion rupiah.
Ahmad also has a friend named Ibrahim or Boim. They have been friends since childhood, and Boim has a beautiful sister named Khadijah or commonly called Kia.
Kia has been in love with Ahmad for a long time, but unfortunately Ahmad himself is an insensitive person and doesn’t realize the love that Kia has thrown at him.
One day Ahmad brought food for Kia but it turned out that there was Boim who asked him to go because he had not seen each other for a long time.
One night while they were eating together, Ahmad’s father passed away and his grief was unbearable. But Ahmad feels that he has not been able to fulfill his father’s will to continue the family business.
Ahmad’s family held a yasinan that night, because it was late, Ahmad’s mother ordered Ahmad to take Kia home.
In the middle of the road Kia gave a code to Ahmad but unfortunately he was still not sensitive to it. Meanwhile, Aisyah accidentally finds out that her family has a very large debt.
Maemunah’s mother told Aisyah not to tell her sister because it would annoy her. Ahmad prepared to leave and immediately said goodbye to his family and Kia gave a notebook to Ahmad.
He then went and was delivered by Boim, unconsciously Boim slipped out about Boim’s family debt because he thought everything was in order.
Suddenly Ahmad was surprised and they returned home and postponed his departure to Cairo. Ahmad wants to solve the problem of his family’s debt.
Since then, Ahmad has been assisted by Boim and Kia to run the family business. Ahmad is working hard to be able to run it, instead of using the old way he wants to use a method that is in accordance with Islamic law.
