Marvel Comics or Marvel Worldwide Inc. previously Marvel Publishing Inc. and Marvel Comics Group is the name of a company from the United States that produces comic books and related media.
Marvel was first founded under the name “Timely Publications” in 1939 and briefly changed its name to “Atlas Comics” before finally becoming Marvel Comics in 1961. Now, Marvel has become one of the largest comic book publishers along with its longtime rival DC Comics.
