Samsung has dropped some of the items you’d find in a boxed Galaxy S20 handset, for example, and all three of its 2022 flagships are affected, so the Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra are no exception. You won’t find the box barren, and some items remain.
The obvious reason the Samsung Galaxy S21 is missing out on this accessory is to reduce electronic waste, which makes sense in a number of ways – most people prefer to buy their own headphones instead of sticking with the lesser ones in the box, for example.

USB-C to USB-C cable
Apart from the phone, the only major thing on your Samsung Galaxy S21 is the USB-C to USB-C cable, which can be plugged into the bottom of the phone on one end, and the other specified outlet on the other.
Note that USB-C isn’t the ‘standard’ rectangular USB port you’re probably used to, so this end can’t be plugged into some computers that only have that type of input.
Some devices have USB-C ports, including many modern laptops and computers, and if you’ve purchased a device with a charging block in recent years, it’s very likely that this device also accepts USB-C output.

Samsung Galaxy S21 charger
The Samsung Galaxy S21 doesn’t come with a wall plug in the box, so you can’t plug it directly into the wall.
You probably already have one of these, from a previous phone or a completely different gadget, and if you have one, you don’t need the other. However, keep in mind that you need one that accepts USB-C, which is oval in shape, not USB-A which is rectangular.
If you don’t have a working wall charger, you can easily buy one from Samsung’s website here, but it’s a little pricey compared to many of Amazon’s USB-C wall chargers.
A new pair of headphones
Previous Samsung Galaxy S phones have come with AKG-tuned wired earbuds, but that’s not the case with the S21 phones. It’s a phone without a 3.5mm headphone jack too, so you can’t just plug in an old bud to listen to music.
Sure, if you have headphones with a USB-C jack you’re already sorted, but that’s very rare. If you have, or want to purchase, a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter, you can use it in conjunction with your existing wired buds. If you prefer to use wired headphones, which many people do, you can check out the USB-C headphones on Amazon, or the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter for your existing headphones and the ones you like.
But Samsung might expect you to buy some true wireless earbuds, especially its own. Alongside the Samsung Galaxy S21 phone, the company launched the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, a new bud for portable audio. The company already owns the original Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Buds Plus, and Galaxy Buds, so you’ve got plenty to choose from.

If you visit the official website, you will find that Samsung is selling a lot of wireless chargers of various shapes and sizes. Some of them are standing ones, others for laying your phone flat, and some work with multiple devices at once (including Galaxy Buds or Galaxy Watch if you have one).

Samsung Galaxy S21 S Pen
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is compatible with the company’s S Pen stylus, which is used for taking notes and sketching, as well as the S Pen Pro, which has yet to be released.
If you already have an S Pen from another device that came with it, such as a Samsung Galaxy Note phone or a Galaxy Tab tablet, you don’t need to buy a new S Pen, as the old styli is actually compatible with the new smartphone.
