M3 Mobile Legends First Day Playoff Schedule, Saturday 11 December 2022
The M3 Mobile Legends international tournament enters the playoffs today, Saturday (11/12/2022), after having passed the qualifying phase for 6-9 December.
As reported by Suara.com, the match which was held 6 – 9 December did not aim to eliminate the losing team. Instead of just determining the position in the playoffs, who has the right to pass through the upper bracket and which team is fighting in the lower bracket.
After passing the four days of elimination, 16 M3 Mobile Legends teams are now ready to compete in the Playoffs. The following is the standings after the group stage was completed on December 9 yesterday:
From Indonesia, the winning team RRQ Hoshi will fight in the upper bracket because they won Group D. Meanwhile, Onic Esports will pass the lower bracket because they are at the bottom of Group B.
Upper bracket
For those in the upper bracket, the first round of the Playoffs will be held from 11 – 12 December. The format of the match is in the direct upper bracket with Best of 5 (BO5), which means that each duel will take place in a maximum of 5 rounds.
The Group Phase of the MLBB M3 World Championship has finally officially ended with all teams having confirmed their place in the Playoffs.
The teams that finish in the top two have confirmed that they will play through the upper bracket while the bottom two teams play through the lower bracket.
The team that lost in the first match of the upper bracket will not be eliminated immediately, but can still fight back in the lower bracket.
Meanwhile, the winner will immediately advance to the semifinals of the upper bracket on December 15 and 16.
Those who win in the semifinals will continue to the upper bracket final on December 18th. Meanwhile, the losers can still fight in the lower bracket quarter-finals.
The winner of the upper bracket final will challenge the winner of the lower bracket in the Grand Final on December 19. The loser can still compete in the second lower bracket final on December 18.
Lower bracket
The lower bracket match format was originally Best of 3 (BO3). This means that each match will run for a maximum of 3 rounds. The first round of the lower bracket Playoffs will be condensed in one day, namely on December 13. Thus there will be 4 matches on that day.
The loser of the first round match in the Playoffs will be automatically eliminated.
Meanwhile, the winning teams will advance to the second round and fight the losing teams in the first round of the Upper Bracket Playoffs. In this phase, the match is still in BO3 format. This match will be held on December 14th.
The teams that lose in the second round of the lower bracket will be eliminated. The four winning teams will compete in the lower bracket quarter-finals which will take place on 15 December. Here, the match format changes to BO5.
The winners from the lower bracket quarter-finals will advance to the semifinals. The opponents are the two teams that lost in the semifinals of the upper bracket. This match will be held on December 17th.
The two winners of the semifinals will be pitted against each other in the first lower bracket final.
The winner will return to fight in the second final against the losing team in the upper bracket final. These two matches will take place on 18 December.

The winner of the second lower bracket final will challenge the upper bracket winner in the Grand Final which will take place on December 19. This match is in the Best of 7 (BO7) format or lasts a maximum of 7 rounds.
