Install Whatever, Evernote Desktop Client Application for Linux Operating Systems
Evernote is an application that allows users to take notes or jot down important things, save ideas that come to mind, and collect good articles found while browsing for viewing again at a later date.
This application is very useful for people who are forgetful or busy people who do a lot of things, writers and bloggers who want to save the ideas that crossed their minds for a while to open again later.
For those of you who are a planner who likes to make to-do-list or lists of things to do, you can also make to-do-list in Evernote, then you can tick off the lists when you’re done with them.
Using Evernote you can create and then save notes online, notes you previously created using Evernote on smartphonecan be opened later in Evernote version desktopso you don’t have to retype it if you have to work on another device.
Evernote has 3 main menus, namely; Auto Categories, My Categories , Keywords. In these menus there are more sub-menus and other features that make it very easy for you to use Evernote.
But unfortunately, the Evernote app for desktop only available for Windows and OS X operating systems, Evernote does not provide applications for users of the GNU/Linux operating system.
For those of you users of the GNU/Linux operating system, you can still use the web version of Evernote which can be run on various web browsers. But not everyone is comfortable using the web version, the desktop application is more comfortable than the web version.
If you still want to use the app version of Evernote on your Linux, you can use Whatever, an app unofficial Evernote for GNU/Linux operating systems.
Whatever is an app open source which unofficial or unofficial for the GNU/Linux operating system. Whatever is made using framework electrons. Apps built using Electron are known to take up a lot of RAM, but Whatever is pretty light anyway.
Whatever has all the features that the web version of Evernote has. Whatever is integrated with the system, so it can be displayed on dock and tray icon to open Whatever via tray icons.
Install Whatever on Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Distros With Packages a kind.

To install Whatever on a GNU/Linux operating system especially distros with files package “.deb” like Debian and its derivatives; Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and so on.
Enter the following command to download Whatever installation file using Wget.
For 64 bit architecture:
wget https://jaist.dl.sourceforge.net/project/whatever-evernote-client/v1.0.0/Whatever_1.0.0_amd64.deb
For 32 bit architecture:
wget https://jaist.dl.sourceforge.net/project/whatever-evernote-client/v1.0.0/Whatever_1.0.0_i386.deb
Wait for the download process to complete. After the download is complete, enter the following command to perform the installation:
For 64 bit architecture:
sudo dpkg -i Whatever_1.0.0_amd64.deb
For 32 bit architecture:
sudo dpkg -i Whatever_1.0.0_i386.deb
Wait for the installation process to complete and make sure it’s not there error. If there is an error during the installation process due to the absence of dependency libappindicator run the following command in Terminal to install it:
sudo apt-get -f install
Then wait until the process is complete. Repeat the Whatever installation process with the installation command as before.
Once that’s done, you can open Whatever via the application menu, or search for it in the Ubuntu Dash if you’re using Ubuntu.
You can hug login if you already have an Evernote account, or if you don’t already have an Evernote account, you can create an Evernote account or use a Google account.
