Install Ramme on Linux, Instagram Desktop Application
Instagram is a social media that allows users to take photos, edit them in various ways filter available and share it with followers and social media.
Who doesn’t use, or doesn’t know instagram. Instagram is one of the most popular social media in the world today. Thousands, even millions of businesses or maybe more are running there.
Instagram is used by almost all people, from just teenagers, creative people to share their work, companies, business people, artists, even state officials.
The Instagram application is available for various operating systems such as Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. As for Ubuntu Touch, even though it doesn’t have an official Instagram application, users can use an unofficial Instagram application called Instagraph.
However, unlike Desktop devices, especially the GNU/Linux operating system, users do not have the Instagram application. Actually, users can still use or open Instagram through the official Instagram website in a browser, although with limited actions. But still, opening directly through the app has more convenience.
The problem was answered by the presence of Ramme.
Ramme is an app Desktop for Instagram free, open source and cross-platform. Ramme is made using a technology called Electron.
Ramme has the exact same features as when we open Instagram through a browser.
We can see the posts of people we follow, open other people’s profiles, like photos, comment on posts and mention them to other users, choose hashtags and find posts with hashtags the same one.
We can do these things in the Ramme application, it will not be transferred or redirect to browser in every action.
As is the case when opening Instagram via browser, users can’t add photos via Ramme, or maybe they can’t at this time. This is due to the limited API access provided by Instagram.
Then how is it different from accessing Instagram through a browser? With a look that responsive make Ramme easier and more comfortable to use. Ramme also has the option to use it in night mode (Dark Mode) by pressing the combination CTRL + D on the keyboard.
In addition to being able to switch to dark mode, the following keyboard combinations on the Ramme:
