This command list is a list of commands available on a Linux system. As you know, Linux has many distributions with different system types based on the base system used by the distribution.
Therefore, although basically all the basic commands on Linux are the same, maybe some of the commands below cannot be executed on the distribution you are using, because these commands are commands on other Linux distributions, and some commands can only be used after you install additional package.

| agetty | An alternative to Linux Getty. |
| alias | Function to create an alias for a Linux command. |
| alsactl | Serves to access an advanced control for the ALSA network card driver. |
| amidi | Serves to display read or write operations for the ALSA RawMIDI port. |
| anacron | Function to run commands periodically. |
| play | A voice recording and playback utility for the Command Line Interface (CLI). |
| aplaymidi | A Command Line Interface (CLI) utility for playing MIDI files. |
| apm | Function to display Advanced Power Management (APM) device info on older system types. |
| apmd | Serves to handle tasks reported by the APM BIOS driver. |
| apropos | Serves to display a list of all manual pages that contain a certain keywotd. |
| apt | A package management system for the Debian distribution and its derivatives. |
| apt-get | A Command Line Interface utility to install/remove/update a package based on APT system. |
| aptitude | Another utility to install/remove/update packages based on APT system. |
| ar | A utility that serves to create / convert / extract an archive format file. |
| arch | Serves to display the type of architecture of a machine. |
| record | Acts as a sound recorder and player for the ALSA network card driver, this command is similar to the “aplay” command. |
| arecordmidi | A standard for MIDI files. |
| arp | Function to change the ARP system cache. |
| US | A portable GNU assembler. |
| aspell | A Command Line Interface (CLI) utility for interactive spell checking. |
| at | Function to schedule the execution of a command at a specific date and time, or read a command from an input file. |
| atd | Function to execute a task queue on command. |
| atq | Function to view a list of pending tasks from a user on the command line. |
| atrm | Function to delete a task queue on the command line. |
| audiosend | Serves to send an audio file recorded as an email. |
| aumix | A utility for audio mixers |
| autoconf | Function to generate configuration script from a TEMPLATE-FILE and send output as standard output. |
| autoheader | Function to create a header template in C. |
| automake | Functions to create a GNU standards-complaint Makefile from a template file. |
| autoreconf | Function to update the configuration file. |
| auto scan | Function to generate the first configure.in file. |
| autoupdate | Function to update the configure.in file into a newer autoconf. |
| awk | Function to find and replace text in a file. |
