The news about how the Ubuntu desktop will look on Ubuntu 17.10 is starting to appear, there is a big change happening.

Canonical has finally made a bold and controversial decision about how Ubuntu 17.10 will look. This decision makes Ubuntu seem to be inconsistent with the appearance that has become its trademark.

On Ubuntu 17.10 window button in a window in Ubuntu it will be placed in the right position, or maybe Canonical will return it to the right position window button on Ubuntu back to the right.

As we already know, in 2010 Canonical chose to place window button to the position on the left of the window on Ubuntu. At the time the decision was taken, there were many users who disagreed and refused.

Maybe that can also happen to the decision made by Canonical this time. There will definitely be Ubuntu users who disagree with or reject the move decision window button to the right on Ubuntu this time.

If you don’t agree with Canonical’s decision this time and feel comfortable and familiar with the position window button on the left, you don’t have to worry about being uncomfortable with the position window button which will change to the right.

You can move window button using the GNOME Tweak Tool. By using the GNOME Tweak Tool you can change window button that is on Ubuntu later easily to where you want.

Although it will return to using GNOME, Ubuntu 17.10 will still display the buttons “minimize”maximize”and the button “close” by default as previously. This is different from window button which is in GNOME which only displays the buttons “close”.

Canonical made this decision not without reason, based on a GNOME Desktop User survey of GNOME users, showing the results that the majority of users who use Ubuntu want the position of window button is on the right.

Do you agree with this decision taken by Canonical? Write your opinion in the comments.
