Install CoreBird 1.4.2 (Latest) on Ubuntu, Twitter Desktop App for Linux

Twitter is a social media network that allows a user to connect with other users and share information within tweetsin Indonesian it is called a tweet or a chirp.

Twitter is one of the most popular social media in the world today. As of May 2022, Twitter was reported to have more than 500 million users worldwide, of which 302 million are active users, and there must have been more in 2022.

They use Twitter as a medium of socialization and share information with others.

Install CoreBird as a Twitter Desktop Application on Ubuntu and Derivatives

To install the latest version of CoreBird (CoreBird 1.4.2) on Ubuntu 16.04 and 16.10 and their derivatives, you can install it via package files at this link.

Or, if you don’t like installing apps via package files and prefer to install it via PPA repositories, you can also install CoreBird via PPA repository

Open Terminal by pressing shortcuts / keyboard combination “CTRL + ALT + T” or via the application menu, the Ubuntu Dash.

Then enter the following command in Terminal to add the PPA repository Latest CoreBird :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/corebird

After repository successfully added, enter the following command in Terminal to add package list from repository and install CoreBird :

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install corebird

Wait for the process updates and the CoreBird installation is complete.

Once done, you can open the CoreBird application via the Ubuntu Dash or Application Menu on your Ubuntu.

How to Use / Login Twitter Account Using CoreBird

If you are using CoreBird for the first time, CoreBird requires access rights from Twitter, CoreBird will ask you to enter a PIN / Token from Twitter as shown below:

Enter PIN from Twitter

select “Request PIN” so that Twitter gives CoreBird access rights to use your account and then Twitter will provide a PIN, enter the PIN into the CoreBird application menu, then press “Confirm”.
