Lately, many people are curious about how to make NFT on OpenSea. So I decided to write this tutorial on how you can print (and hopefully sell) NFT for free, at absolutely no cost.
But you need to know that There are many different platforms and blockchains on which you can create NFTs and they all have their advantages and disadvantages. In this article, I will only focus on the OpenSea platform and the Polygon (MATIC) blockchain.
As this is one of the ways you can create NFTs without paying the required fees, and potentially quite expensive, if you print NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain, for example.
If you need to pay a fee (the price required to make a transaction on the blockchain) when creating an NFT, you will have to sell the NFT at a much higher price to make a profit because you will at least have to pay the fee paid.
What is NFT?
Non-exchangeable tokens, or NFTs, are one of the most popular blockchain use cases. As the word “non-fungible” suggests, non-fungible tokens have unique characteristics, meaning no two or more NFTs are alike.
This makes NFT great for digital art and collectibles. Additionally, it offers a way to assign ownership to an existing digital file or even to an actual real-life asset (such as a title, certificate, agreement, etc.).
Basically, any type of file (MP3, MP4, JPEG, PDF, etc.) can be converted to NFT; thus, we can assign unique properties to them which will be stored on the blockchain.

How to Create and Sell NFT on OpenSea
Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to create and sell NFT on OpenSea:
- Connect ETH Wallet to OpenSea
- Create an OpenSea Collection
- Set up an OpenSea Collection
- Choose the Right Blockchain
- Start Making NFT
1. Connect ETH Wallet to OpenSea
First, you have to connect your Ethereum wallet to OpenSea. You don’t need to charge any cryptocurrency. If you don’t have a wallet yet, I recommend using MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet. Both work well, are popular, and easy to use.

Don’t forget to backup your recovery phrase while you are doing this step. You will need your wallet to confirm certain steps in this tutorial, so have your wallet ready during the process.
2. Create an OpenSea Collection
NFT in OpeanSea is created inside a collection, so you have to create a collection first. To do so, click on your profile icon at the top right, click My Collectionsthen click Create.

3. Set up the OpenSea Collection
Set up your first OpenSea collection. You can set the images (including ogo, featured, and banner), and now create a name for your collection, customize the URL of the collection, and add a description of your choice.

Then fill in the basic details and description of your OpenSea collection.

You can also set the Royalty percentage fee here. This is the percentage that you will earn from the NFT you make each time it is sold and changes hands.
If you sell the NFT for $X, you will initially get $X, but if the buyer then resells the NFT to someone else, you will make money again earning a percentage of the new sale. Royalty fees are generally 10%.

4. Choose the Right Blockchain
Next, select the correct blockchain for your collection. The opinion is the Ethereum blockchain and the Polygon blockchain. If you don’t want to spend money, select the option Polygon.
Finally, click Create. You need to confirm the action you took with your Ethereum wallet while setting up the collection.
5. Start Printing NFT
Now that you have your collection set up, you can start printing NFT. Just click on your collection and then click on Add item.
You can now upload artwork (images, any music) and print it as NFT. You can also choose how many copies you want to print.
If you have things like stats or unlockable content that you get when you buy NFT, you also specify those things on this page.
Once your NFT is printed, you can click on the page and click Sell to put a price. Prices must be at least $2 when using OpenSea. You can also choose how many copies of the NFT you want to sell (if there is more than one copy).

There he is! You create your first NFT and pay absolutely nothing. Now for another disclaimer: printing NFTs is much easier than selling them. You must already have followers or have some other way to get people’s attention.
That’s how to create and sell NFT on OpenSea. I hope this article helped you! Thank you for visiting and don’t forget if you find this article useful, please share it with your friends too.
