The Messenger of Allah said from Abdullah bin Umar that divorce is the most hated act of Allah.

Through this hadith, it is clear that God himself hates divorce, there is a reason why divorce is something that God hates, namely because of the negative impact it has especially on children.

Here are some of the negative effects of divorce in Islam

1. Causing God’s wrath

If there are things that Allah hates the most, one of them is divorce as has been said in the hadith above. Marriage is a sacred thing in Islam.

2. Loss of the way to Heaven

For a wife to be obedient to her husband is the same as heaven. As for the husband being a good husband and able to guide his wife and children, heaven is the guarantee.

Thus, when a divorce occurs, they have lost their way to heaven. Therefore, as much as possible do not get a divorce.

3. Causing discord in the family

Islam teaches its adherents to always maintain the ties of friendship and whoever is able to maintain this family relationship is a blessing to Allah.

But the consequences of divorce can cause divisions in the family and break the ties of kinship, this is clearly something that is not liked by Allah.

1. Loss of focus in activities

Children are very dependent on their parents in many ways, and divorce makes it easy for them to lose focus on their activities, one of which is studying and socializing.

Children will be easily anxious, insecure, and also nervous. They will also lose interest in the activities they used to do.

2. Causes of stress in children

Stress caused by parental divorce will often appear in children. The children consider them the cause of the divorce and are responsible for repairing the parental relationship.

This actually makes them become depressed and bring up other negative thoughts.

3. Causes trust problems with others

Children who experience divorce from their parents will make it difficult for them to trust others. In the end they assume that love does not exist and neglect good relations with other people.
