Xiaomi is one of the mobile phone manufacturers from China that is diligent in releasing new products almost every month. Each new product is classified as selling well in the market. On its 8th anniversary, Xiaomi officially launched its newest mobile phone, the Mi 8. No half-hearted – Xiaomi immediately released 3 of their latest mobile phone series, including: Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition.
One side that is in the spotlight and differentiating compared to the previous series is the notch or bangs at the top of the screen. Xiaomi Mi 8 is Xiaomi’s first phone that uses a notch design.
The notch that resembles a bang at the top of the screen functions as a front camera with a 20 MP resolution with an S5K3M3 sensor from Samsung. The Mi 8 front camera has been equipped with artificial intelligence features, ear pieces, proximity sensors, infrared lighting and infrared face unlock.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 screen is made of Samsung’s OLED screen technology with a size of 6.2 inches. While the back case is made of aluminum framed glass.
On the back, there are dual cameras arranged vertically with each camera having a resolution of 12 MP. The main sensor of the camera uses the Sony IMX363.

The Mi 8 series is the first Xiaomi mobile phone series to use dual frequency GPS sensor technology to provide more accurate location data. Xiaomi Mi 8 still uses MIUI 9 with Android Oreo OS which can be upgraded to MIUI 10.
Xiaomi Mi 8 is claimed to have a capable performance because it uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset supported by an Octa Core processor (4 x 2.8 GHz Kryo 385 Gold and 4 x 1.8 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) and GPU Adreno 630. 1. It Has No 3.5mm Audio Audio Port
Apparently, some high-end phones have started to leave the port for the 3.5 mm audio jack. The vendors advise users to switch to using a wireless headset, either using Bluetooth or Wireless.
2. No External Storage Slot
For some people, the existence of space for external storage is still needed, ranging from storing important data, installing applications and others.
But actually this phone already provides a very large internal storage space of 128 GB.
