This application relies on community participation to share location data during the trip so that contact history with Covid-19 sufferers can be traced.

Users of this application will also get notifications if they are in a crowd or in a red zone, namely an area or sub-district that has registered a person who is positively infected with Covid-19 or a patient under surveillance.

This application is designed to control the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. The government encourages the public to use the PeduliLinden application every time they want to enter a number of public spaces. How to use the PeduliLinden app?

A color will appear indicating the vaccination status, namely green, yellow, red and black. Here’s the explanation.

  • 1. The green color means that you have received the complete Covid-19 vaccination, which is two doses.
  • 2. Yellow means you have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Relatives can travel to public facilities following strict health protocols.
  • 3. The color red means you are not vaccinated against Covid-19. Usually the red color is accompanied by a statement that they are ready to be vaccinated, the location of the vaccine can be at any health facility that serves the Covid-19 vaccination.
  • Anyone with red vaccination status cannot travel to public facilities.
  • 4. Black color means that someone has tested positive for Covid-19 or has close contact with a positive patient.

People with black vaccination status certainly cannot travel because they have to self-isolate.

In the case of a positive Covid-19 patient, the PeduliLinden application will obtain user consent to access contact tracing data stored on their servers for the last 14 days.

In addition, the government will track other users who have had close contact with positive patients in the last 14 days based on data in PeduliLindei.

For those who are in close contact with positive patients, Peduli Lindeli will issue a notification stating that they must implement health protocols.

As quoted from IndoTrends.Id PR Depok in the article How to Use the PeduliLinden Application, the PeduliLinden application also has a QR code scanning feature that must be used before users access public facilities.

This function must also determine a person’s vaccination status based on the color that is still the same.

Later, the head of public facilities will prepare a QR code that will be scanned at the entrance.

After a visitor clicks check-in or login, PeduliLindei recognizes the vaccination status of the account holder.
