As we suspected yesterday, during Ubisoft’s press conference at E3 2022 this morning they provided more complete details about the latest sequel, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 which is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 15, 2022. After failing in the previous sequel and maybe they realized that and now come with a different theme and it looks a lot better.
Yesterday also Ubisoft announced the exact release date of The Division 2, maybe we know if The Division 2 is set in the city of Washington, DC, and that happens seven months after ‘Black Friday’, the bio attack that was on the first sequel. This virus is basically gone, but civilization has not fully recovered.
The Division will have raids or squads that support up to 8 players. In today’s blog post Ubisoft said it would provide regular updates. Raids with up to 8 players will offer real challenges “These challenging missions will test the skills, communication and teamwork of even the most skilled Agents.”
Then Ubisoft confirmed that The Division 2 will have a new feature, namely Specialization that you can unlock after you finish the campaign and reach level 30 and then you can choose Specialization. There are 3 Specializations, namely Sharpshooter for snipers, Demolitionist for explosion experts, or Survivalist for trap experts. Ubisoft explains “This line introduces new skill, talent, and equipment mods, including brand new weapons,”
A Gameplay Trailer and Cinematic Trailer were also released to show how things are going in Washington, DC Creative Director Julian Gerighty said Washington, DC, is 20% bigger than Manhattan in The Division 1, and will feature more variety from the narrow streets of NYC. Will show several biomes, including flooded commercial areas, abandoned residential areas. And in some locations, the city has begun to be recaptured by nature.

Also, if you’ve set your sights on this one game, you’ll be even more excited because during the conference this morning the company said that the three major DLC packs released for 1 Year will be absolutely free. And maybe after a year they will start releasing paid episodes or there will also be cosmetic purchases.
The 1 Year will be divided into 3 episodes namely “story-driven missions, map expansion, and new modes.” It includes a different step from The Division 1 by releasing the DLC after release but you need to buy it separately.
