Realme 8 5G Official in Indonesia In June 2022. Realme again presents the latest Realme 8 5G Smartphone to Indonesia. After the Realme 8 and 8 Pro which were launched last April, now it is the turn of the Realme 8 5G which was officially released to the Indonesian market on Wednesday (16/6/2022).
Marketing Director of Realme Indonesia, Palson Yi, claims that the Realme 8 5G is here to answer the needs of Realme fans who need a 5G smartphone at an affordable price.
Despite the similar name, the Realme 8 5G differs from its two “brothers”, the Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro, and comes with a number of upgrades.
In terms of performance, for example, this 5G smartphone is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 700 5G chipset developed in 7nm manufacturing, combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded with a 1 TB microSD card.
With this chipset, Realme claims its newest smartphone is capable of producing internet speeds (downlink) of up to 2.77 Gbps.
In terms of design, the Realme 8 5G has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD Plus resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, and up to 600 nits of brightness.
At the top is the punch hole module which contains the 16 MP (f/2.1) selfie camera. On the back, on this side, there are three cameras arranged in a square module.
These three cameras each have a resolution of 48 MP (f/1.8), 2 MP (f/2.4, macro) and a black and white camera lens for a blur effect.
In terms of power, the Realme 8 5G is supported by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging or 18W fast charging, lower than the Realme 8 with 30W or the Realme 8 Pro with 50W.
To further support its power, this smartphone is equipped with the Smart 5G Power Saving feature, which is used to save smartphone power when the 5G network is not available.
“If this device is out of 5G coveragethen the smartphone will automatically change (preference) to 4G networkso that the battery saves 30 percent,” said Realme Indonesia Product Manager Vasco Rambot at the same event.
Other supporting roles are the fingerprint scanner module (fingerprint) provided on the device frame, NFC technology and Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE), which can “enlarge” the RAM capacity up to 11 GB if needed.
The DRE work process itself is almost the same as the Extended RAM technology introduced in the Vivo X60 series and RAM development in the Oppo A74 where the smartphone “borrows” 3GB of space from internal storage.
