McLaren Claims Saber Is The Most Powerful Supercar They’ve Ever Made – McLaren has just released the latest mode, the special McLaren Saber and only 15 units.
Quoted by Autocar, the McLareb Saber was made by McLaren’s Special Operations section. The supercar is claimed to be capable of reaching speeds of 218mph, making it the fastest two-seater mode McLaren has ever made.
McLaren’s iconic 4.0 ltr twin-turbo V8 engine is believed to be capable of producing up to 824 bhp of power.
Compared to the McLaren Senna, the Saber is more powerful by 35 bhp and 590 lb ft of torque. The McLaren Saber has had extensive body modifications which may be subject to homologation requirements.
The aero package Saber is said to reach “new boundaries” with the LMP1-looking fin that sits in the middle of the roof, complemented by a giant rear diffuser and a unique three-slat wing. The first examples of the Saber mode have shipped at an undisclosed price, and are predicted to hit seven-figure US dollars.
While the other 14 examples will come across 14 other loyal customers in the next few weeks.
