Lin Jarvis believes he made the right decision by sacking Jorge Lorenzo – Managing Director of the Yamaha MotoGP Team, Lin Jarvis, fully believes that he has made the right decision by kicking Jorge Lorenzo as a test rider aka test racer.
The status of the test rider at Yamaha now has a former British MotoGP rider, Cal Crutchlow.
Taken from Motorsport.com, Lin Jarvis feels his decision to bring in Crutchlow as a test rider is the right thing.
Jarvis believes that feedback from Crutchlow and several regular Yamaha riders in MotoGP can be a solution to the grip problems the team has experienced this year.
“Next year, bringing in Cal Crutchlow to the team is a signal of our will (to improve),” said Jarvis.
“We really believe we’ve made the most, very good option with Cal. I believe Cal is a real employee, he is really hungry to be involved in this project.”
“We didn’t make the same mistake twice, we will definitely run a more intense testing program next year and we believe, with this technical overhaul, we have a lot of information earlier this year,” he explained.
“So our mechanics will replace the chassis next year and they will work to fix this problem.”
“In addition to Cal’s counter-pass and our pre-season test, we’re pretty confident we can fix this problem next year,” Jarvis said.
