Despite the fact that it is considered modern and has many features that make it easy to use, it seems that many people don’t know yet how to use this Seeds app.
For this reason, in this article, I will describe how to use the Seed application, especially for those of you who want to invest in mutual funds.
How to Open an Account in the Seed App
Before we start using the Bibit application and invest in mutual funds at Bibit, we must register first. Here are the steps:
- Open the Seeds app
- Registration and fill out a short questionnaire
- Fill in your personal data and upload a photo of your ID card
- Set up pin and verify email
- Wait for the registration process to complete
Open the Seeds app: First open the Seeds app on your phone. For Android users, the Seeds app can be downloaded from the Play Store, and for iOS users, it can be downloaded from the App Store.
Registration and fill out a short questionnaire: At this stage, click the green “Registration” button and answer a few questions about your date of birth, salary and other details. What’s the point of all that? This questionnaire assists Seed in determining your investment objectives and risk profile through Robo Advisor. Are you a risk-averse investor who doesn’t want to lose money? You are an aggressive investor who cares about profits despite taking risks, or you are a moderate and balanced investor. So, fill out the questionnaire based on your situation.
Click continue, then you will be asked to fill in mobile number and will be sent an SMS containing a verification code.
Fill in your personal data and upload a photo of your ID card: In this step, you are asked to fill in your personal information according to your ID card and include your email address. You will then be asked to upload an image of your ID card as well as a selfie with your ID. Don’t forget to put your signature in the space provided.
Set up pin and email verification: After you upload your ID card image, you will be asked to create a pin to protect your Seed transactions. Then you have to confirm your email address.
Wait for the registration process to complete: The data that you enter in this registration process will be verified by the Bibit team and KSEI. This process takes approximately 1×24 hours.
How to Use the Seed App To Buy Mutual Funds
- Click invest now
- Enter nominal
- Read the contents of the prospectus
- Choose a payment method
- Click pay
Click invest now: Open the Seeds app, then Click invest now on the app homepage to start buying mutual funds.
Enter nominal: Enter the investment amount you want; minimum purchase is IDR 100,000.
Read the contents of the prospectus: Read the entire prospectus first after determining the amount. Then check the box next to I agree to mutual fund purchases and pay now.
Choose a payment method: Choose your preferred payment method. You can pay with Gopay, LinkAja, virtual account, or manual transfer at Bibit.
Click pay: Then, to complete the purchase of a mutual fund based on Seed’s recommendation, click pay.
If you want to buy a mutual fund based on Robo Advisor’s recommendation, then the steps are as follows:
- Click “Invest Now” in the Recommended Robo section
- Define purchase amount
- Tick in the terms and conditions section
- select payment method and wait for the mutual funds to enter your portfolio
How to Use the Seed App to Sell Mutual Funds
- Select the portfolio you want to sell
- Determine nominal
- Enter pin
- Wait for sales results
Select the portfolio you want to sell: Open the Seeds app from your phone. Click portfolio on the Seeds home page, then select the portfolio you want to sell, then click sell.
Define nominal: Determine the nominal or unit you want to sell, then read the terms and press accept and sell.
Enter pins: After that, enter your pin to complete the sale transaction.
Wait for sales results: When the funds from the sale of mutual funds have entered your account, you will receive an email.
