Ad-hoc network itself is actually just a simple direct network connection between fellow devices.
For this condition, you will create an Ad-hoc network between your laptop and a wired internet network. You just need to make sure that the Wi-Fi on your laptop is working and running properly.
If you use a computer, then you must have or install a Wi-Fi adapter. Try to note first that if you use an ad-hoc network with the laptop being connected to Wi-Fi, the connection will automatically turn off completely. That is the reason why this method can be done if your laptop is connected to a wired internet network.
The quick way to use Ad-hoc networks is, you have to open Manage Wireless Networks.
Briefly, you will open a Manage Wireless Networks window, then click the Add button, then click “Create an ad hoc network”.
Enter a name and password for the network, and it will appear in the list of wireless networks.
Choose it and your laptop will be automatically disconnected from the temporary Wi-Fi network. Meanwhile, your laptop will start hosting an ad-hoc network that can later be connected to other devices.
Make sure to activate the “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection” menu until the box will be automatically ticked.
Then your laptop and computer will share automatic connectivity with other devices that are also connected to your laptop and computer via an Ad-hoc network.
