Instead of skipping your online meeting altogether due to the unavailability of a microphone, you can use your Android phone or tablet as a microphone to join online meetings.
All you need is a simple app which is installed on your PC and Android phone and allows you to transfer your voice from Android phone to PC.
So in this article I will share how to turn an Android phone into a microphone for your PC. All you have to do is follow one of the methods mentioned below to connect your Android device to your PC.

How to Turn an Android Phone into a Microphone for PC
Although there is no default setting on Android or Windows to connect your Android device as a microphone to PC, you can use third-party apps to turn your Android phone into a microphone.
In order to be able to use your Android phone as a microphone, you need to install a tool called Wo Mic on your PC as well as on your Android phone. You need to download Wo Mic PC client on your PC from here and Wo Mic Android app on your phone from here.
After you download and install Wo Mic client for PC and Wo Mic app on your Android phone, you can use any of the 3 ways below to connect your Android phone to PC and use it as microphone.
1. Connect via Bluetooth
One of the most stable ways is to connect via Bluetooth. The process of connecting your phone to PC via Wo Mic can be completed with the following steps:
- Open your Windows PC’s Settings menu and click on the Bluetooth & other devices option.
- Once in the Bluetooth settings, now enable the toggle under the Bluetooth section.
- Now go to settings menu of your Android device and find Connection settings.
- Once you find the Bluetooth settings, change the Bluetooth connection of your device.
- Now pair your Android device with PC via Bluetooth, and you will get a notification on your PC confirming the Bluetooth connection.
- Open your Windows Wo Mic client and select Connect.
- From the transport type options, select Bluetooth then select your Android device from the drop-down menu and click OK.
- In your Wo Mic Android app, tap the Settings icon and then tap the Transport option to select Bluetooth.
- For the final step, go to the main app page of the Android Wo Mic app and tap the Play icon to start using your Android device as a microphone.
2. Connect via USB
Another easy way to connect your Android phone to a PC as a microphone is to connect the device to a PC via a USB cable.
- You have to navigate to the developer options of your Android device and enable USB debugging to use Wo Mic via USB cable.
- Once you enable USB debugging, connect your Android device to PC via USB cable and follow these steps.
- Open the Wo Mic Windows client on your PC, click Connect, and select USB from the Transport type menu, and click OK.
- Open the Wo Mic app on your Android device then tap on the Settings icon.
- In settings, tap Transport and then tap USB.
- Now go to the main screen and press the Play button to start using your Android device as a mic while connected via USB cable.
3. Connect via Wifi
Last but not least, you can use Wifi connectivity to use your Android device as a microphone via the Wo Mic app. For this method to work, you have to make sure that the Windows PC has a built-in Wifi or Wifi dongle.
You can follow these steps to send audio to your PC using your Android phone with the help of Wo Mic:
- Now click on show available networks and select the same Wi-Fi connection as your Android device.
- Now open the Wo Mic tool on your PC, select the connection, open the Transport type menu, select Wi-Fi, and click OK.
- Next, open your Wo Mic Android app, tap the Settings icon to select Transport, and tap Wi-Fi.
- Now go back to the main page of your Wo Mic app and tap on the Play icon to start casting audio from your phone to PC.
