How to move WhatsApp Groups to Signal | WhatsApp recently updated its terms and conditions and privacy policy and requires all users to accept them. Users who do not accept the updated terms before February 8 will not be able to access WhatsApp.
In the updated terms, the company has detailed what WhatsApp user data is being shared with Facebook and other partner companies. If you are worried that your data will be shared, there is nothing you can do but switch platforms.
if you are one of those who are planning to switch to Signal, you might want to take your WhatsApp groups to the new messaging app. To make switching easier for users, Signal has added a functionality that lets you transfer WhatsApp groups to it.

How to Move WhatsApp Groups To Signal
Here’s how to easily move WhatsApp Groups to Signal. Note that this method will not move your WA group chats to Signal as there is no method available for it yet.
Step 1: First of all, open the Signal app on your smartphone.
Step 2: Now, to create a group, click the button menu in the top right cornerand from the drop-down options, select New Group.
Step 3: To create a group on Signal, you need to add at least one contact. So, select a contact and add it.
Step 4: After adding a contact, tap the arrow button to proceed to the next step.
Step 5: You now have to enter a Name for the group and after that, click on the button Create.
Step 6: After creating a new group, go to Group Settings and tap Group Links then activate.
Step 7: You can now copy the link or link from the group you created earlier and share it on WhatsApp Groups and all members of that WhatsApp Group can now join Signal group with that link.
Apart from that, Signal offers an option to turn off shareable links if you don’t want anyone else to join the group on the WhatsApp alternative.
While this allows your existing WhatsApp Group users to join the newly created Signal group, you cannot transfer chats and media files from WhatsApp to Singal considering they are completely different and independent platforms.
