How To Make Google Maps Maps On Android
The first way we use Android devices. To be able to do this, you must install an application called My Maps. With this application, users can enter or create their own maps on Google Maps.
How to do it yourself please follow below:
- Please download and install the My Maps application via Google Play. Or you can also follow here.
- After that, open the application. Please tap Accept & Continue to enter the main menu. Don’t forget to also sign in through your Google account.
- When you go to the main page, you can add a new map. The trick is to tap the plus (+) icon in the bottom corner.
- After that, a new page will appear called “Create New Map”. Please write the title and also a description of what map will be made. If so, please click OK.
- Then, you will enter a map page like Google Maps. Here, you are faced with two choices. The first is “Add a New Line” and the second is “Add a new Point”.
- If you select “Add a New Line”, then you only add a new road, while for “Add a New Point”, then you add a new location related to buildings such as houses, places to eat, stalls, and the like.
- If you have chosen, then the next step is to make a line while connecting it as a road marker. The trick is to first determine the starting point of the path by hovering the cursor X.
- After that, you can start it by pressing the plus icon and hover over the cursor.
- Keep doing it repeatedly until the path is formed as desired.
- Then you just add a place by placing the dot as you wish.
- After that, tap “Select This Location” to lock the predetermined place.
- If so, you will automatically be required to fill in the identity of the place. Please provide your name and description to make it clearer.
- Then, automatically, the information will be saved in your Google account. You can access it via the “Created by Me” option. In addition, you can also do this in the Google Maps application->My Place-> Maps.
- Done, the new location and road directions have been added on Google Maps.
Although it has been added in our version. However, Google has its own policy to check location at least 1×24 hours. Therefore, you have to wait until the new map is completely visible to everyone.

How to Make Google Maps Map With PC / Laptop
Apart from Android, we can also add new maps via PC. Not much different from the Android version, it’s just that we can add our own via Google Maps. You can see the steps below:
- Open a browser and go to Google Maps. Make sure you’re signed in to your Google account.
- Usually when you log in to Google Maps, there will be a page that directs you to login.
- If so, click on the My Maps section which is located in the upper left corner.
- If this is the first time, the map list looks empty. However, if you have already done so, the maps that were previously created will appear.
- The next part just click Create New Map to get the map as you wish.
- Please fill in the “Title” and “Description” according to the points in the Android map creation.
- When finished, make sure to save first via the save feature. This is to avoid unwanted events.
- Next, you use the facility to be able to draw objects on the map that will be created later. You can choose Draw a Line, Draw a line alon roads, and Draw a Shape. It depends on taste.
- Next, you visit the map using tools like Zoom, as well as the map slider. Try playing with these tools to help the map-making process.
- If you want to mark a new place, please click the icon with the image of a hot air balloon and drag it to the desired place.
- If you have, automatically, you give a title and also write a description of the place.
- When finished, you click OK. If you mark the wrong place, just click “Delete”
- You can also change the symbol according to your taste. The most important thing is that the message is conveyed to those who see it.
- Done, your place has been added to Google Maps. But once again have to wait for approval from Google.
