Create Instagram Highlights from Instagram Stories
Instagram is a very popular social media nowadays. The advantage of Instagram itself is to create insta stories, view videos or photos, can chat or commonly called DM (Direct Mesagge).
We can make Instagram Highlights from past Instagram Stories by viewing or clicking archive (archive) Instagram, which is a place to store content or postgood feeds nor stories. - Open the Instagram app
- Click Instagram story

Create an Instagram Highlight Cover With Canva
Canva is an application that you can use for photo editing and design. There are so many design options and one of them you can make a cover for the Highlight.
- Please install Canva on Playstore or access it via a browser at Canva.com, I recommend using the application on a smartphone to make it easier to save and upload to Instagram.
- Open the Canva application, then please login. If you don’t have an account, please register.
- If already logged in create a new worksheet by clicking Use Custom Dimensions in the top right and enter the size 1080 x 1920 pixels and press the Design button.
- Next, specify the background color you want.
- Add an icon by clicking the Elements button on the left. Please scroll down to find the menu icon. Please select the icon you want to use in your highlight, make sure it matches your highlight category, besides that you can also adjust the color and size of the icon.
- When finished, please download the cover that you made earlier. Just hit Download at the top.
Make Instagram Highlight Cover With Photolayers
If you feel that the previous Canva application was less attractive and difficult to use, you can use the Photolayers application. This app is available for free on playstore. For how to make a highlight cover using Photolayers follow these steps.
- First, install the Photolayers application from the Playstore.
- When the installation is complete, open the application and press Load A backround Image to create a new worksheet.
- Next, add a photo by pressing the Add Photo button
- You can add photos, icons or symbols that you want to use on your Instagram highlights. To download the icon, you can search on Flaticon.com or search on Google with Keyword Free Icon. Then just adjust the size of the icon.
- When finished, press the Save button at the top and press Finish.
How to Upload Instagram Highlight Cover
In the previous stage you have created a cover or cover for Instagram highlights or highlights, now you can directly upload it to Instagram. the following way:
- Open Instagram
- Then press the camera icon to make insta stories
- Select the highlight cover that you made earlier

I want to try using this application to make cover highlights but surely the steps are not exactly the same as using Adobe Spark. What’s more, when I use Canva, I know I’ve only edited a ready-made design, I’ve never made a new design.
WellI try google and find another way to make cover highlights Instagram. Finally found a tutorial for cover which are more simple on youtube. The way to do this does not use the Adobe Spark or Canva applications, use the application PhotoLayers.
I remember I used this app to make background transparent, even though I had time to apply it uninstall. Well, because the data capacity is also not too large compared to photo editing applications such as Adobe Spark, so I prefer to reinstall the PhotoLayers application.
