Microsoft is asking developers to implement Eco mode by default in their apps. The good news is that Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome already use the same method that EcoQoS uses. That’s why Task Manager doesn’t allow you to enable Eco mode in this browser for Windows 10 because it already runs this new power efficiency API.
While Eco mode is a great new feature addition, it’s possible that Windows 10 has accidentally placed active apps under Eco mode.
