If you are using the latest version of Windows 10, you may have noticed a blur or faded effect on the Login Screen (also known as Welcome Screen, Login Screen). When you start your Windows 10 computer and press any key or click the mouse button to switch from Lock Screen to Login Screen, Windows 10 applies a blur effect to the Login Screen background wallpaper which fades or hides the background image and focuses on the user account image ( avatar), username and password fields.
Some people may like this new eye candy effect, but many people don’t like this effect and they want to return the previous feature to show real and clear background image on Login Screen without any blur effect.
The following image shows the blur effect applied to the Login Screen in Windows 10:

In earlier versions of Windows 10, the Login Screen was used to dim or darken the background image but later versions of Windows 10 enable an acrylic blur or translucent effect (part of the new Fluent design) on the Login Screen background image.
