In this guide I will review how to create multiple certificates at once online for free with the help of a site called CertifySimple. CertifySimple is a tool that you can use to generate and send personalized certificates in bulk for free using Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Gmail.
This tool allows teachers, tutors and managers to create and send personalized certificates to multiple students and employees at once for their achievements. Also, you don’t need to create a certificate from scratch. You can use ready-made templates from Slidego or Canva, which make your task easier.
You need a Google Sheet with the name and email address of the person you want to send the certificate to. Basically it uses Google Sheets to store the data it uses like mail merge to create and send certificates. The column names in the Google Sheet will be used as mail merge fields in the certificate template.

How to Create Multiple Certificates Online for Free Using CertifySimple
Here are the steps to create and send personalized certificates in bulk for free using CertifySimple.
1. Install CertifySimple to your PC or laptop
You can add CertifySimple to Google Slides by clicking here. When you click on the link, you will be asked to enter your email id. Enter your email id and tap on the button “Create Certificates“, and you will see an option to install this tool.
2. Import Certificate Templates to Google Slides
You need to import your certificate template into Google Slides, you can grab the certificate template from either Slidego or Canva. You can edit a ready-made certificate template or create a new certificate from scratch. My advice, use Canva because it’s easier to use.
After you edit or create a certificate in Canva, share it to your Google Drive in PPTX format. Once you save it to your Google Drive, click on the “View in Google Drive” and your template will open in Google Drive.
Then, go to the “File” and click “Save as Google Slides“. Your template will be saved as Google Slides and will open in a new tab. Rename certificate under “{{Name}}” and the person’s name will be automatically displayed there when sent.
3. Write Email on Google Slides
To compose an email, go to “Add-ons” in Google Slides Toolbar and there you will see CertifySimple App, if you have already installed it on PC. Open the app and there you will see an option to compose an email.
When you open the app, you will see a screen like this:
Paste the Google Sheet link which has all the names and emails of the people you want to send certificates to. When you paste the Google Sheets link, it will automatically detect and fill in the sheet name and email fields.
Create an email template by clicking the “Create New“, and fill in the File Name and Sender Name options. Then, click the “Make Certificates“.
It will take a few minutes to generate your certificate and then the button will be replaced by the “Send Certificates“.
Click the button “Send Certificates” and a personalized certificate will be sent to everyone who has their name and email address in the Google Sheet you uploaded in the CertifySimple app.
This tool will automatically fill in the “{{Name}}” in your certificate template with the person’s name (taken from Google Sheet) and will send the certificate to the person’s email address.
This tool checks which name is associated with which email, then fills the name on the certificate and sends it to that email address.
How to Check Certificates Before Sending Them
To make sure that the certificate is generated the way you want, open the Google Sheets that you used as a reference in the CertifySimple app. That Google Sheet will have a link of all the certificates generated in front of each person’s name. Click the link to view and check the certificate.
