One of the features to keep group calls fun is experimenting with different backgrounds. There is no built-in feature of Facebook Messenger where you can change the background in your group calls, but in this article you will know how to change the background of Facebook Messenger, namely with the help of Snap Camera.

How to Change the Facebook Messenger Room Background
First, you have to download an app called Snap Camera from here or visit Snap Camera website from your web browser and install the app to your PC, then run it. This app is designed by Snapchat.
When you open the app, you can choose from various backgrounds and choose the one you want from that app for your Messenger Room.
Then open the Messenger app in your web browser and login using your Facebook ID. Click on the Create Room option given at the top left corner along with your profile photo.
When the Group video call Room opens in the pop-up window, go to settings by clicking on the icon “gears” in the top right corner. In the Device camera option, switch to Snap Camera. Then you can see your video displayed with the same background as you used before in the Snap Camera app.
You can also change and edit the background by relaunching the Snap Camera app and selecting a different background during a video call in the room. In this case, you can also use filters, you can choose from various backgrounds given in the Snap Camera App.
Facebook Messenger doesn’t have a virtual background option yet. However, you can create your own virtual background using the Snap Camera App.
