How to Backup and Restore Game Uplay

Uplay is a client made by Ubisoft that contains their games, currently there are many Ubisoft games such as the Watch Dogs series, Tom Clancy’s, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry. Well, the weakness in the Uplay client is that it doesn’t have a Game Backup feature like Steam.

Here’s How to Backup Game Uplay

Open the Uplay Client Application

Once open, you can go directly to the Three Lines in the upper left corner > Select Settings

Find Game Location

You need to know the location of the game installed on the PC, after going to Settings > Downloads > pay attention to “Default Game Installation Location and also “Game Installer Cache Location”

These two locations are where you install the game. Please go to that location

Start the Backup Process

Below is a picture of the location where the game is installed. Because I only have one game, so it looks like only one. Copy the name of the game folder that you want to backup, for example I want to backup the RabbidsCoding game.

Choose Backup Location

AfterCopy the name of the game folder that you want to backup, you can directly Paste the folder to Disc D or external hard drive it’s up to you where you want to store it.

Here’s How to Restore Game Uplay

Almost the same as the Backup process, all you need to know is the location of the game install
Find out the location in the backup tutorial above
If you already know the location, please paste the game folder from the backup to the Game Installer Cache Location folder location
After that you can open the Uplay Client and immediately look at your Game Library
It will immediately appear on the Installed tab or the game has been installed correctly.
