Funtouch OS 11 update based on Android V17 Pro Android 11 for limited users in India

www.rancakmedia.com – The stable Android 11 based Funtouch OS 11 update for Vivo V17 Pro has been rolled out in India. The company says the update is currently undergoing grayscale testing. This means that it will initially only be accepted by a limited number of users.

Vivo also didn’t provide details on when the stable update will roll out to all users, but we can expect it as soon as the bug is fixed.

The Android 11 update for Vivo V17 Pro is expected to be the last major operating system update as Vivo usually provides two Android operating system updates for its smartphones. Vivo V17 Pro was launched in September 2022 with Funtouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie.

According to a recent tweet from a user first spotted by PuinikaWeb, Vivo in India released the Android 11 based Funtouch OS 11 update for Vivo V17 Pro (Review). Responding to users via its Twitter account in India, Vivo confirmed that the Android 11 update for the phone has been tested on a grayscale and will reach all users later.

Some Vivo V17 Pro users who received the update also reported issues with the always-on display of the phone. Vivo hasn’t officially confirmed the issue yet, but Vivo is offering support for users who have tweeted about the issue. Since it seems that a bug was found while testing with the update, the rollout may take a little longer for all users than previously thought.

As already mentioned, the Vivo V17 Pro was launched in September 2022 with the Snapdragon 675 SoC, 8 GB RAM, and 128 GB integrated storage. This kills the 4,100 mAh battery. It has a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a twin selfie camera setup featuring a 32-megapixel primary sensor. It also has a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) Ultra FullView Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
