In a recent short blog post, Epic Games announced today that it will provide USD 100 million or 1.4 Trillion Rupiah for the Fortnite Tournament prizes in the first year of the 2022-2022 season.
Epic wants competitive playing Fortnite to be “more inclusive” and focus on the “joy of playing and watching matches.” Epic Games will provide more information about the tournament structure and eligible platforms in the “coming weeks”, and tell players to “stop by and start training” in the meantime.

With such a huge prize pool, Fortnite will become the new figure of one of the most lucrative e-sports games in history. Even managed to beat Valve’s tournament with the Dota 2 game with a prize of USD 38 million or 535 billion Rupiah in 2022.

In the history of Valve’s eSports games tournament, Dota 2, managed to break a record in one event last year by successfully paying out almost USD 25 million or 352 billion rupiah and in total since 2022 with more than 900 Dota 2 tournaments Valve managed to provide a tournament prize of USD 140 Million or almost 2 Trillion Rupiah.

Fortnite has indeed become one of the most popular games today and has had a very good player growth over the last few months and is starting to overtake the popularity of PUBG.
