
At the biggest sports Olympics in Asia this time, the 2022 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, a new branch emerged, namely eSports. This is the first time that eSports has been competed, although this is only an exhibition, namely the medals contested will not be counted.
There will be 6 games to be contested, namely Arena of Valor, Clash Royale, League of Legends, Starcraft II, Hearthstone, PES 2022 which takes place in BritAma Arena (Kelapa Gading Sports Mall, North Jakarta) from 26 August to 1 September 2022 according to the schedule officially issued by the Asian Electronic Sport Federation.
This year’s eSports branch involved participants from Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Iran, India, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan and of course Indonesia as the host.
