The company plans to update the Apple iPad Pro line by adding a better processor and better camera. The new model looks similar to the current iPad Pro model and is available in the same 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes.

The device has an updated processor on par with the faster M1 chip in the latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini. Apple designs these processors themselves and are usually made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Apple also wants to include a mini LED display with at least the larger model, which will be brighter and with an improved contrast ratio.
When tested, the new iPad Pro used a Thunderbolt port, the same port found on the latest Macs with dedicated Apple processors. The port does not require a new charger, but allows connectivity to additional external monitors, hard drives, and other peripherals. It’s also faster at syncing data than the USB-C technology used in current models.
An Apple spokesman declined to comment. The company hasn’t announced its first product launch event this year, so plans may change.
The iPad hit sales of $8.4 billion (roughly Rs. 60,860 million) for Apple in the most important holiday quarter of 2022, the highest since 2022. Sales are up on demand from people working and studying from home during the pandemic. As employees and students return to work and school in the coming months, Apple will be betting on a new iPad model to keep interest in the tablet line going.

The iPad Pro was last updated in March 2022 at the start of the pandemic and has an optimized processor, support for Magic Keyboard with trackpad case, and a lidar scanner in addition to the camera.
According to Bloomberg News, Apple plans to refresh its cheapest student iPad with a thinner and lighter design later this year. The launch of the new iPad mini with a bigger screen is already in the works this year, an increase from the 7.9-inch screen used since the first model. The iPad mini was last updated in 2022 with Apple Pencil stylus support and a faster processor.
Apple has a few more product updates planned for this year. The company is working on new iPhone gadgets and Apple Watches, accessories for tracking the location of physical objects, and major updates to MacBook Pro laptops and iMac desktops.
