Allegations of Position Auction at PSSI, PSSI Chairman Must be Inactive? – PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan must be temporarily inactive in the midst of the alleged sale and purchase of the position of the Indonesian national team manager, in accordance with the provisions in FIFA rules.
This is according to senior reporter Joseph Erwiyantoro. He was also the one who initially admitted that there was an allegation of buying and selling the position of the manager of the U-19 Indonesian National Team through the Cocomeo Reborn Facebook account.
The figure who is also known as Mbah Coco or Toro and has long been active in criticizing the dynamics taking place at PSSI makes it clear that the general chairman of PSSI must first be deactivated in the midst of allegations that are currently appearing.
“My writing on this has been translated and sent to the AFC and FIFA. Even though I didn’t actually ask for it to be translated, my colleagues did,” said Erwiyantoro.
“There is a problem with Iwan Bule. Because of course Iwan Bule was there, he had to be inactive as stipulated in article 20 of the FIFA Code of Ethics. If from the rules, it must be inactive until the problem can be proven or maybe not. If that happens, he cannot have national football activities. Like Sepp Blatter or Michel Platini,” he said, alluding to the situation regarding Mochamad Iriawan’s status as the general chairman of PSSI.
Article 20 of the FIFA Code of Conduct alludes to bribery in the football environment. Actors who are trapped are not allowed to carry out activities in the world of football for a maximum of 2 years.
Bribery should not be harsh because it will destroy the credibility and track record of football as defined in Article 1 of the FIFA Code of Ethics.
Regarding some people who are not allowed to act in bribes as laid down in the FIFA Code of Ethics, they are; all FIFA officials (including members of the FIFA Council), committee members, referees, referees’ confidants, coaches or people who are stuck in strategic problems, health workers or administrative administrators in FIFA, Federations, FIFA Member Federations (including PSSI) leagues or clubs, and all people who need to comply with FIFA Statutes (except players and mediators).
Regarding this rumor, detikSport also contacted several related parties. One of them is PSSI. There is the executor of the work of the PSSI Secretary General (Plt Secretary General), Yunus Nusi, who reacts calmly to the rumors of buying and selling positions. He saw that this kind of rumors had been used to happen to PSSI.
“Generally the issue is up to several tens of billions, this tumben is only Rp. 1 billion. There have been several dozen articles on this kind of issue. We never responded. PSSI is used to this kind of rumour. So there is no need for any information from us,” said Yunus Nusi.
