Microsoft has finally confirmed about the future of its flagship series Age of Empires will continue or not, because after more than 12 years in hibernation status. Finally the Age of Empires series will be back. In August, Microsoft Studios as the publisher has announced that Age of Empires 4 is still alive, and developed by Relic Entertainment.

What is Age of Empires 4?
Age of Empires 4 is the latest installment in the historical real-time strategy series Age of Empires, which started running back in 1997.
It is a follow-up to the most recent sequels to the originals released in 1999 and 2005, and there were several spinoffs during that period, including the two popular Nintendo DS titles and Age of Mythology, which drew inspiration from myth and legend rather than history. Apart from these DS games, this series is only available on PC.
In Age of Empires 4, Microsoft entrusted it to be developed by Relic Entertainment, if previously the Age of Empires game was made by Ensemble Studios. Relic said they wanted to “blend historical context with deep strategic gameplay, and to bring this franchise back to the forefront of gaming and into the community it loves”.
