West Ham United Feel Hurt When Their Goal Is Disallowed – There is an allegation that Thiago Silva tripped his own foot, and was not violated by the enemy, so that he fell in an event against West Ham United. Unfortunately for West Ham because the goal was canceled by the referee.
Thiago Silva scored 1 goal while helping Chelsea win 3-0 while serving West Ham United, Tuesday (12/22/2022) morning WIB. The Brazilian defender scored the opener, with the other two goals coming from Tammy Abraham.
Interestingly, when the match was still 1-0 in favor of Chelsea, the visiting team actually had time to put the ball in. But referee Chris Kavanagh canceled the goal and did not decide it because he thought there had been a foul.
From the referee’s assessment, West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen is considered to have knocked out Chelsea defender Thiago Silva in the process of scoring that goal.
Thiago Silva actually really fell in front of Bowen. But from the next assessment, it was indicated that Thiago Silva fell because he was stuck with his own foot or not because it was violated by an enemy player.
“Why isn’t this seen by VAR? Thiago Silva is not naughty, but he tripped himself. Bowen didn’t touch it,” said one netizen.
The incident was the Hammers’ 2nd goal against the Blues which was canceled out by the referee. Initially in the 7th minute there was an action by Declan Rice who was in an offside status when he received the ball.
“I just thought that (the referee’s leadership) tonight was bad. Many events cost us tonight,” said David Moyes, West Ham United manager, as quoted by the London Evening Standard.
Asked later if he was exclusively disappointed about Bowen’s goal being disallowed in connection with Thiago Silva’s fall, Moyes replied, “I don’t know. I just think the level (of the referee) is not good. What’s clear is that we don’t benefit from a small decision or whether another decision could have a different impact.”
