The OnePlus Nord received the OxygenOS 11.1.1.2 update based on Android 11, which the company announced in a forum post. The update brings the March 2022 Android security patch to the phone and fixes several issues. The company says additional over-the-air (OTA) updates will roll out to OnePlus North users in India, Europe and other global markets.
OnePlus previously discontinued the Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus Nord as some users faced app crashes and other issues. OxygenOS 11.1.1.1 has been released as a hotfix to address this issue. The latest OxygenOS 11.1.1.2 fixes another issue that was not fixed in OxygenOS 11.1.1.1.
OxygenOS OnePlus Nord Update introduced because the update to this phone’s operating system which was released earlier this month was paused after users complained about app crashes, notification issues, and battery drain issues after updating their phones. OxygenOS 11.1.1.1 itself is a hotfix for the first Android 11 update for the OnePlus Nord and has the same change log as the original.

The handset also received a new user interface and optimizations for the stability of third-party applications. It also brings shortcut keys in quick settings to enable dark mode, an auto-on function with customizable time ranges, and a weather widget with improved animations.
According to the latest changelog that OnePlus posted in its forum post on March 23, the system-level update for OnePlus North includes Android security patches from March 2022 and power consumption improvements. The update resolves the issue of displaying incoming calls pending while charging (for smartphones in India).
The changelog says that it fixes an issue resulting in the privacy policy page displaying abnormally when the device is in dark mode.
This update also fixes some issues with the Calculator app that were causing results and button sizes to display abnormally. The update contains the OxygenOS version number 11.1.1.2.AC01DA in India, while the European version is available as OxygenOS 11.1.1.2.AC01BA and the global version is available as OxygenOS 11.1.1.2.AC01AA.
Just like previous updates from OnePlus, the latest one for the OnePlus Nord smartphone will reach some users first. It will be available to a wider user base once OnePlus confirms that the update does not contain critical bugs.
