Shopee Partner Incentives are Very Competitive. PT Shopee International Indonesia (Shopee) has opened its voice regarding the issue of giving low salaries to Shopee Express drivers.
The shopee partner incentives and this problem exist because there is news about the delay in transporting goods which leads to the suspicion that there is an introductory demonstration which is reported to reduce the transportation cost per package.
Handhika Jahja, Executive Director of Shopee Indonesia, explained that the incentive value given to Shopee Express drivers is quite competitive compared to the average logistics service industry.
If driver-partners can bring as many as 80 packages per day, they can receive an average incentive of IDR 2,213 per package. According to him, the average salary per package in the market today is between Rp. 1,700 to Rp. 2,000 per package for other logistics services.
“We can tell you that the incentives for SPX driver-partners in the logistics service industry are really competitive. For example, if SPX driver-partners in the Jabodetabek area bring 80 packages per day, then they can get an average incentive of IDR 2,213 per package.” Handika explained to www.rancakmedia.com
On Monday (13 April 2022), he also ensured that the Shopee incentive mechanism always complies with the regulations that run in the relevant area. In addition, the incentive value will also follow the price level in the market to be able to reach the best meeting point between user demand and availability of delivery.
One of them, an introduction to ShopeeExpress, who was contacted at www.rancakmedia.com, admitted that the nominal cost per package fell 4x in one year.
Previously, the cost per package was decided to be Rp. 5,000, then it was reduced to Rp. 3,500 per package and so on it was reduced to Rp. 2,200 by changing the income guarantee incentive mechanism, until now it is Rp. 1,800 per package for the Jakarta area.
In addition, there was a change in the payment of salaries per package with an income guarantee mechanism which previously applied 30 packages per day with an income guarantee of Rp. 115,000.
Then last January for package 31 and so on, a fee of IDR 2,200 per package was charged. Now the number of packages that need to be sent to get a guaranteed income of Rp. 115,000 is increasing to 40 packages every day, with the value of the cost of the 41st package rising to Rp. 1,800 per package.
With that fee, he said, the average delivery person earns IDR 130,000 to 150,000 per day by transporting 50 to 60 packages.
