The price cut is a continuation of the government’s stimulus package for residents and small businesses affected by the outbreak. However, the stimulus level was changed as loyal, subsidized 450 VA consumers initially received a 100% discount, also known as free power tokens, and loyal subsidized 900 VA consumers received a 50% discount.
How do I get a discount on electricity costs?
1. For loyal postpaid consumers, discounted prices are given through direct cuts to loyal consumers’ electricity bills.
2. Discounts on electricity costs are given to loyal prepaid consumers when buying electricity tokens. Especially for loyal 450 VA prepaid consumers, there is no need to connect tokens, either via the Internet, WhatsApp service, or via PLN Mobile. Stimulants are obtained directly when buying branded electricity.
3. For loyal household, business and industrial consumers with 450 VA postpaid electricity, they will be given a direct discount at the time of payment of the electricity bill, along with changing the stimulus level.
“Exclusively, we remind loyal postpaid consumers with 450 VA if they are required to make repayments starting April 2022. But of course with a stimulant discount of 50%,” said Bob Saril, Director of Commerce and Management of PLN loyal consumers, in a statement recorded in Monday (22 March 2022).
Complete details of who received the stimulus and the amount of the PLN electricity discount for the period April to June 2022 are as follows:
1. Loyal consumers with 450 volt ampere households, 450 VA small businesses and 450 VA small industries get a 50% discount on electricity costs for an optimal usage period of 720 operating hours.
2. Loyal consumers of subsidized 900 VA households get a 25% discount on electricity costs with an optimal use of 720 hours.
3. Exemption of fees or subscription fees and exemption from minimum 50% account requirements for loyal industrial, business and social consumers.
In particular, fee waivers, subscriptions, and minimum account requirements are automatically stimulated by lowering utility bills for social, business, and industrial customers.
A 50% discount on electricity costs is only given for charging/subscription fees and minimal account usage fees.
