Realme GT Neo launched on March 31

Vice President of Realme and President of Global Marketing Xu Qi Chase have confirmed that the launch event will take place on March 31. While the handset hasn’t leaked much, executives have teased the chipset in the upcoming phone. The Realme GT Neo is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The new phone is likely an offshoot of the Realme GT 5G which was launched earlier this month.

Chase announced to Weibo that the Realme GT Neo will launch in China on March 31. He also confirmed that the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The poster doesn’t reveal the design or other details of the upcoming smartphone, but does confirm that the launch event will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CST (12:00 p.m. IST).

The Realme GT Neo was also teased once earlier this month, and at that time Chase had confirmed that the processor was a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Its flagship chipset is launching this January, and Realme will be one of the first companies to use it in a phone.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 is an octa-core SoC with three ARM Cortex-A78 supercores clocked at up to

2.6 GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at up to 2 GHz. It supports up to 16 GB of LDDR4x memory as well as UFS 3.1 memory.

The SoC can provide a refresh rate of up to 168 Hz and supports a maximum of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels. In addition, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G SoC supports one 200 megapixel camera sensor or two sensors up to 32 megapixel + 16 megapixel.

the phone should have slightly different specs from the Realme GT 5G powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The phone has a 4,500 mAh battery with 65 W fast charging support and is said to offer a 360 Hz touch sample rate.
