Motorola has released a teaser that gives us an insight into the new phone. The teaser confirms that the upcoming phone may be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC and have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The phone also has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a speaker grille on the bottom edge. The phone in the teaser looks very similar to the Motorola Edge S which was launched in China last January, and the phone is rumored to be launching in global markets under the name Motorola G100.
Even the leaks that leaked yesterday add weight to claims that the Motorola G100 is a rebrand of the Edge S. The phone has a dual selfie camera setup, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and four rear cameras on the back. This is very similar to the look of the Motorola Edge S in China.
