www.rancakmedia.com – The Moto G100 could launch globally on March 25. The new leak seems to suggest that Motorola is preparing to host a launch event on March 25, and the Moto G100 is widely expected to launch on that occasion.
The phone was seen in renderings a day ago. Motorola previously teased the arrival of a new phone with the Snapdragon 870 SoC. The Moto G100 is said to be largely a revised version of the Motorola Edge S, which debuted in China in January this year.
Nils Ahrensmeier of TechnikNews tweeted a “Save the Date” poster from Motorola’s upcoming event on March 25. He seems to be suggesting that the Moto G100 be featured at this upcoming event, which is likely due to a leak in the past. There has been no official announcement from Motorola. If there really is an event planned for next week, the company is expected to officially announce it soon.
Motorola has released a teaser that gives us an insight into the new phone. The teaser confirms that the upcoming phone may be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC and have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The phone also has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a speaker grille on the bottom edge. The phone in the teaser looks very similar to the Motorola Edge S which was launched in China last January, and the phone is rumored to be launching in global markets under the name Motorola G100.
Even the leaks that leaked yesterday add weight to claims that the Motorola G100 is a rebrand of the Edge S. The phone has a dual selfie camera setup, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and four rear cameras on the back. This is very similar to the look of the Motorola Edge S in China. With so many leaks that occurred in a row, Motorola should officially announce it soon.
