Microsoft is gradually removing the old Edge browser automatically from the Windows desktop and being replaced by OTA improvements with the new Edge browser. However, if your desktop loses Chromium Edge, you can retrieve it directly from the Microsoft website.
Earlier this year, Microsoft announced a multiple child model for Chromium-based Edge to ensure even more secure browsing. In addition, Microsoft added a filter for statements that check the behavior of other users and stop sending you requests from websites that have been rejected by other users.
This feature is currently only available in the United States. Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer 11 in November 2022, as Microsoft Teams was removed as a sympathizer program.
