6 Ways to Remove Lines in Excel
There are several ways that you can try to remove lines in Excel. Each method has its own steps. The following are a number of ways that people usually use to remove lines in Excel.
1. Remove Lines in Excel with Tab View or Page Layout
- Click tab Page Layout which is on the menu bar in the Microsoft Excel application that you are using.
- Then, remove the check mark () contained in View Gridlines by clicking on the small box in front of it.
- In addition, you can also remove this line by clicking on another tab in the menu bar, namely the tab View.
- Remove the check mark () on Gridlines by clicking on the small box in front of it.
- After removing the check mark, automatically the existing gridlines in Excel will not be visible.

2. Remove Lines in Excel with Merge Cells
- Highlight the row of cells in Excel from which you want to remove the line boundaries.
- Then, look for the icon Merge & Center in tab Home.
- Once found, click on the icon and the cells you highlighted earlier will be merged and have no borders.
You need to know that the use of merge cells will make the cells to be delineated together. For this reason, removing lines in this way is more suitable if you need space for longer text in cells.
3. Remove Lines in Excel with Excel Options
- Click tab File which is at the top of the Excel worksheet.

4. Remove Lines in Excel with Shortcut Keys
