Specification
When talking about the specifications of the DJI Mavic Air vs. DJI Mavic Pro, then for the first time we will try to discuss from the side of the camera, sensors and storage media, or memory. DJI Mavic Air is known to use a CMOS sensor measuring 1/2.3 inch which is believed to be able to capture photos or images with a resolution of 12 MP very perfectly. Body
Talking about the two new DJI drones, the DJI Mavic Air vs DJI Mavic Pro is actually quite similar. Both drones have Propeller Arm that can be folded out of the body, even the shape is the same as the box. The location of the cameras on both drones is the same on the front, but the DJI Mavic Pro camera is more outward at the same time as the gimbal, then the DJI Mavic Air camera itself is deeper into the body.
The most visible difference is also in the size. At first glance, the DJI Mavic Air is half the size of the DJI Mavic Pro body and 41 percent lighter. The DJI Mavic Pro weighs around 734 grams, while the DJI Mavic Air weighs around 430 grams. For the width itself, the DJI Mavic Air is relatively the same as its brother, but has a shorter and lower body so when folded it will look smaller. The dimensions of the DJI Mavic Pro are 198 x 83 x 83 mm and 168 x 83 x 49 mm for the DJI Mavic Air.
Control
The two best DJI drones can actually be connected to the First Person View feature using DJI Googles. It’s just that, the DJI Mavic Air must use a cable and the DJI Mavic Pro can be connected wirelessly thanks to the Ocusync embedded in it. Then for the battery itself, the DJI Mavic Air has a battery capacity of 2,735 mAh which allows it to fly in 21 minutes. Meanwhile, the DJI Mavic Pro can fly for 27 minutes thanks to its larger battery capacity, 3,830 mAh.
As is known, the DJI Mavic Air has a flatter design than the DJI Mavic Pro, the new drone can even fly up to a speed of 68.4 km per hour. This is certainly faster when compared to the top speed of the DJI Mavic Pro, 65 km per hour. When facing the wind, the two drones are known to be quite good because they manage to maintain their position, even when the wind speed is at 38 km per hour.
Then in automatic flight mode, the Mavic Air drone is already equipped with two new modes, namely Asteroid and Boomerang. For example, in Boomerang mode, the DJI Mavic Air drone will fly away in a circular motion, then it will come back like a boomerang.
