One of the main references for people to buy mobile phones is the sharpness of the camera. And in the end, every vendor tries to produce variants of cellphones with the best camera specifications. It seems that this is what Xiaomi always tries to present as a mobile phone vendor that often issues cheap phones with powerful specifications.
In mid-May 2022 in India, Xiaomi managed to launch its newest mobile product Redmi Note 7S which has been equipped with a 48 MP resolution camera. Similar to its predecessor, the Redmi Note 7S also comes with a dual camera of 48 MP (f/1.8) and 5 MP (f/2.4). On the front camera side, the Redmi Note 7S uses a camera with a resolution of 13 MP (f/2.2) and is placed on the notch (dot notch).
Redmi Note 7S uses a 6.3-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels which has been protected with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. At the top of the Redmi Note 7S screen there is a notch in the form of a waterdrop for the front camera housing.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S is only equipped with the Snapdragon 660 chipset. This misses what was predicted that the Redmi Note 7s will come with the manufacturer’s Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset class 700.
For internal storage space, the Redmi Note 7S comes with a choice of 32GB and 64GB. As for RAM, there are also two choices of 3GB and 4GB.
For the size of a middle-class phone, the Redmi Note 7s has a large capacity battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh and has been supported by Quick Charge 4.0 technology.

The Redmi Note 7S was launched in India in three colors, namely Sapphire Blue, Onyx Black and Ruby Red. The Redmi Note with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage is released to the market at a price of 10,999 rupees or around Rp. 2.3 million.
As for the Redmi Note 7S with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, it is priced at 12,999 rupees or around Rp. 2.7 million.
It is possible that the Redmi Note 7S series will only be available in India. This is because in other countries the Redmi Note 7 series has been released.

Pros of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S
Even though it was finally launched beyond the predictions that have been rumored, there are still some advantages that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S has that can be taken into consideration in deciding which option to buy.
The following are some of the advantages of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S:
1. Super Pixel Technology
Xiaomi embeds super pixel technology on the Redmi Note 7S default camera. This technology is claimed to be able to combine four pixels to become one (pixel binning) so that in the end you get a sharp photo image measuring 12 MP.
2. Large Capacity Battery
Redmi Note 7S has been equipped with a built-in Li-Po battery with a capacity of 4,000 mAh. With a kitchen runway specification that is not too fancy, Xiaomi claims that the Redmi Note 7S can last up to 1 full day with normal use.

Disadvantages of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S
There are several shortcomings found on this Redmi Note 7S phone, including the following.
1. Using Hybrid Slots
Redmi Note 7S comes with Dual SIM features and an external memory slot but unfortunately in hybrid mode.
So the user has to choose whether to make it entirely for two SIM cards or one for the SIM card and the other for the microSD slot
2. Charger has not Quick Charge 4.0
Although the Redmi Note 7S has been equipped with fast charging technology, in fact the default charger for this phone still doesn’t support the Quick Charge 4.0 feature. So if the user has to buy another new charger that can support the fast charging feature.
Conclusion
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S phone is in fact presented not as expected. This can be seen from the chipset that only uses the Snapdragon 660 series. Users seem to have to think again if they want to use this phone to play games with high graphics.
But if only for light use such as chatting and social media then there is no problem with this phone. So, the choice remains in the hands of the user.
