1. Set up an old email account

- Open a browser, be it Google Chrome or Firefox.
- If so, please login to your old Gmail account on the browser.
- Next, click the gear icon then settings in Gmail.
- Then, you go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
- In it, you select the POP Download section and enable enable POP for All Mail.

- When everything is finished, all you have to do is click Save Changes and the settings will be saved.

2. Start using the new Gmail
At this second point, make sure you have set up a new Gmail account. If not, please create it first until Gmail is ready to use. For the next step, please see the review below.
- Please reopen the browser according to the previous point
- Then, you do login to the new Gmail.
- If so, please click the gear icon located at the top of the page
- Next, you select the settings menu and open the Accounts and Import tab.
- In that tab, you see Check mail other Accounts.
- Next, click Add a mail Account and type in the previous old email address.
- If so, click the Next button and select Import emails from my other account (POP3). when it’s finished, please click Next
- The next part is to set the POP Server to the pop.gmail.com section and also the port to 995.
- Next, you check the Always use a secure connection (SSl) when retrieving mail. That way, the connection will continue to run automatically even though there are obstacles from the network side.
- If so, then please add an account and let the transfer run itself.
At this point, you just have to wait until all the old email is transferred to the new email.

3. Using Third-Party Applications
If you are dizzy with the previous tutorial, then give this one a try. In the third point we will take advantage of the application to move old emails to new ones. The steps can be seen below:
- Make sure you have downloaded and installed Mozilla Thunderbird.
- If so, please open the application and go to Tools->Add-ons in Thunderbird.
- Next, you can enter Importexporttools in the search field and click Enter.
- If you find it, you press the Add to Thunderbird ->Install->Restart application.
- You just have to wait when Thunderbird restarts.
- Before making a copy, make sure you extract the email data in the old account to the new account using Google Takeout. Later the extracted results will have an .mbox format.
- After Thunderbird restarts, please right-click on Local Folders in the sidebar.
- Then select Local folder-> importExport Tools and select import mbox file
- After being imported, the next step is to wait until the extraction process is complete.
- Then browse the previously extracted .mbox file.
- Then, select email->right click -> Move to a new email address
- Please wait until the process is complete.
4. How to stop importing emails manually
In some types of people, sometimes prefer to stop the email import process in the middle of the road. Usually this person only needs a new email while the old email is deleted. Moreover, we can not sort the email as desired when the transfer is made.

- Please open a browser and login to the new Gmail.
- After that, please click the gear icon and select the Settings section
- Then go to the Accounts and Import tab
- Open Check mail from other accounts
- After that, you search for Delete so that the deletion process will be carried out
- If you find the Delete button, please click OK
- Automatically old email will stop.
However, at this point it has shortcomings in terms of data. If you use this method, the previous old email will be deleted. Use this method if you really don’t care about the content of old emails.
