1. Using Winrar
Maybe you use Winrar more often as a tool to “wrap” files in one folder. Whereas Winrar’s function is more than that and one of them is to divide files into several parts.
You could say Winrar is the best recommendation for file sharing. Because, almost all computers in the world have installed the Winrar application. That way, you don’t have to bother using other types of applications.
To find out how the system works, here’s a review.
- Install Winrar first if you don’t have it. If Winrar asks for an update, you should update it when your computer or laptop is connected to the internet.
- If you already have this Winrar, you just need to find a large file to send.
- Then, right-click on the file and hover over “Add to archive…”.
- If so, it will enter the Archive name and parameters menu. In it there is a Split to Volumes menu, the size of which is located at the bottom left.
- In the Split to Volumes section, you just need to enter the number of file sizes that are divided. For example, if you want to divide a file into 100MB, then the file will automatically be divided by a size of about 100MB.
- When you have confirmed the amount, please click OK.
- Wait until the process is complete. The larger the file size, the longer the sharing process.
When it’s done, you can view the files with the addition of Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and so on. Then you just send it according to the Part.

2. Using HJ-Split
The next part to being able to split files is to use the HJ-Split application. This application is more specialized to be able to separate and also merge files. Therefore, if you need special software to crack files, HJ-Split can be the best choice.

- Download and install the HJ-Split application first.
- If it is already installed, please open the application.
- On the HJ-Split home page, please click on the “Split” section.
- Later you will enter the File Split page. Please click Input File to enter the file to be split.
- When it’s done, you can select Output to choose where the output file will be stored.
- If so, then you specify in the “Split File Size” section. It’s the same with points in Winrar, you can choose the size of the file to be divided. For example, it becomes 100MB for one part file.
- If everything is done, please click “Start”.
- Wait for the process to finish.
When the file has been split, the next step is to check the results in the Output folder that has been set previously. You will see the files are split by number. Starting from 001.002, 003, and so on.

3. Using 7-Zip
The third way is to use the 7-Zip application. Applications can be said to be similar to Winrar. It’s just that the 7-Zip application is often used to “wrap” programming files. Even so, you can still use the app to split large files.

- Download and install the 7-Zip app
- Select a file and right click on the file.
- Find the word Split File so that the file can be split into several parts.
- If successful, then you will enter the file sharing page.

- After that, select “Split to Volume, Bytes” to determine what size the file will be split. We can only choose a predefined size.

When we send the file, of course we are confused about how to return it like one file. For this, you don’t really need to worry because as long as you install Winrar, 7-Zip, or HJ-Split, then we can combine them in full,
However, it should be noted that to put it back together, make sure all the parts are complete. If all the file parts are incomplete, then the files cannot be combined. Therefore, this section needs to be considered carefully.
How to combine it yourself is quite easy. First you just highlight it to the Part1 file, or the first part. After that right click on the file and select Extract file. Then automatically the file will be extracted as one file again.
