When we buy a new cellphone, automatically there are many things that we need to rearrange. One part in the rearrangement is the contact number that we have.
Usually when we save a new number on a cellphone, it can be done in two ways. First through google account, and second through sim card. However, on our cellphones we don’t just store the number. sometimes we also store email addresses and numbers that are integrated with instant messaging.
Of course, it would be very inconvenient if we had to move the contact number manually. Therefore, for a quick way, we can try some of the points below.
1. Using Google Account
As we mentioned earlier that contact numbers can also be moved to a Google account. This is certainly more practical considering that Google’s storage is almost unlimited.

- Then select Account, if you are using a cellphone for the first time, then the Google account is still empty. You just select Add Account.

The next way is to use an SD card. You could say this method can be an alternative if you don’t use a Google account that must use the internet. The steps for this can be seen below:
- Make sure you have an SD card that has entered the contact number.
- The way to move contact numbers to micro SD is quite easy. First, you go to the contact section, then select the three lines on the cellphone (each cellphone has a different location.
- After that, select Manage Contacts -> Export Contacts.
- Later, there will be an option to use an SD Card, please select it and tap Export.
- Wait until the export process is complete.
- If so, you just close the contact and remove the SD Card.
- Then on the new cellphone, select the contact menu
- Then select the Import contacts menu and follow the steps step by step.
- If successful, the contact number will be saved on the new cellphone.
3. Using a PC or laptop
If you have a PC or laptop, it is also possible to transfer contact number data. The method can be seen below.
- First, make sure all the contact numbers have been saved on the old HP internal memory.
- Next prepare the laptop or PC that is used.
- Connect the old cellphone with a PC or laptop using a data cable.
- Once connected, move the contact number to your PC or laptop.
- If everything has been transferred, please disconnect the old cellphone from the PC or laptop.
- Next, connect the new cellphone to a PC or laptop.
- You just move all the contacts on your PC/laptop to a new cellphone.
- If so, unplug the cable and please check the contact number earlier.
This method does require a PC or laptop. That way, it could be that this method can only be used on certain people.

4. Using a Sim Card
This method is indeed familiar considering that since the time of cellphones, it has been using this method. You can see the steps below.
- Go to old smartphone contacts
- Next, you just select a contact and tap the three lines to enter the options
- Then, select Move Contacts and select to the SIM number you are using.
- Please wait for the process to finish.
- If so, all you have to do is remove the sim card and insert it into a new cellphone.
- Next, you just have to move the contact number on the sim card on the new cellphone and you’re done.
Actually, you don’t need to move either. It’s just that, when you want to find an instant message contact number such as Whatsapp, telegram, and others, it is very difficult to detect. Therefore, you should still move it to HP’s internal contacts.
5. Using Bluetooth
The last way is to use a Bluetooth connection. You can see the steps themselves below.
- First go to the Contact menu
- Next, you enter the Export Contacts menu
- In it, there is an option to export to Internal storage.
- Automatically, all saved contact data will use the VCF format.
- If so, the next step is to turn on the old cellphone bluetooth.
- Look for a new cellphone bluetooth and then connect it.
- After that, you can send the VCF file to the new cellphone.
- When the file has been sent, then you go to a new cellphone, select a contact
- Do import contacts ->import from internal storage
- Please find the VCF file that has been sent and wait for the process to complete.
- Done, all contacts have moved to a new cellphone.
