To overcome the iPhone exposed to water, you can do it in two ways, namely manually or using an application.

1. Turn off the phone
We recommend that you immediately turn off your iPhone when water gets in it, let alone until the water has submerged it.
Avoid turning on your iPhone when it’s wet because it can damage the internal components.
Even though your iPhone is equipped with water resistance, for safety’s sake, you should immediately turn off your cellular.
In the off condition, your iPhone will avoid getting worse damage.
2. Dry the outside of the cellphone
The next way to manually remove water from the iPhone is to dry the outside. To dry the outside that is exposed to water, you can use a tissue, cloth, or towel.
For best results, we recommend that you also shake the phone. The goal is that water that has already entered the circuit can exit through the cracks of the cellphone.
Apart from being shaken, you also need to remove the battery to ensure that your iPhone battery is in normal condition.
Take a look at the battery compartment. In this section there is a small white box with red stripes. Make sure the line doesn’t change color. Because if it has changed color, it means that water has entered your iPhone circuit.
4. Dry the inside of the phone
If the outside is confirmed to be dry from water, the next practical way to remove water from the iPhone is to dry the inside.
To dry it, you can use a damp absorber. For example, using a dry, soft towel to wipe water that gets into the phone.
You can also use a vacuum cleaner. However, avoid using a hair dryer because it can actually damage the cellphone.
5. Remove SIM Card
Even though it is outside the components of the iPhone and is waterproof, when the phone is exposed to water, you need to remove the SIM card immediately to avoid damage.
In addition to avoiding damage, removing the SIM card after the phone is exposed to water can also save your important data stored on the SIM card.
6. Use Water Absorbent Material
To remove water from the iPhone cellphone can also be done by using a water-absorbing material. This is the last manual method that can be done to save your iPhone.
Rice is a water-absorbing material that has been widely used and has been proven to be successful in absorbing water. How to use it, put the phone in rice and leave it for up to 24 hours for maximum results.

We suggest for the application, you can use the Water Ejection Shortcut. However, not all types of iPhone are compatible with this application.

Select the Get Shortcut menu. Make sure this application has been downloaded on your phone.
Next, you can open the Shortcuts app.
The last step, select Shortcut Water Ejection, then click Begin Water Ejection.
The way this application works is by removing water from the iPhone through the speaker on the cellphone.
