please double click the Auslogics Duplicate File Finder installer file that you downloaded. It will appear as below.

Don’t check the section Send anonymous xxxx. Then please click Custom install.



On the next page, don’t check the options Launch program at windows startup. Click Agree and install.
Next, an offer will appear to all install Auslogics Bootspeed.



Don’t check the install option Auslogics Bootspeed. Then click Decline.



Another offer to install Auslogics Driver Updater appears. Don’t check the install option, and click Decline too.
Then follow the next steps until Auslogics Duplicate File Finder is finished installing.

2. Run Auslogics Duplicate File Finder and select Harddisk Partition
After this application is installed on your laptop or PC, just run it.
On the initial menu of the application, please select the partition you want to clean from duplicate files.



You can select one by one or select several partitions at once.
3. Select the type of file you want to look for duplicates
Still on the same menu as above, please also specify the type of file you want to find a duplicate of.
You can select the beginning (Look for all file types). Or specify the file type yourself.
Our advice is, choose your own file type. Please select images, audio files, and video files.
If you check the Applications option, you will have to be careful when deleting duplicate files. Because later there will be a lot of .exe files from the window that can enter too.
Next click the button Next.
4. Determine the Minimum and Maximum File Size
In the next step, please fill in the minimum size of the file that will be searched for duplicates later, on the menu Ignore files smaller than. You can just leave the default at 1 MB.



Menu Ignore files larger than, can be used if you want to set it so that later it doesn’t look for files whose size exceeds the size you input here. We don’t think it’s necessary to fill it in, let it be. Unless you need to.
Next click the button Next.
5. Specify Additional Parameter Settings
Next, additional parameter settings will appear when looking for a double file on a laptop or PC.



You can leave this as the default (ignore file dates checked). By default, double files will be searched regardless of the date when the file was created. If you want to set the search to a certain time range, don’t check this section.
You can use the other settings in this section as needed.
Then click the button again Next.
6. Select Settings By File Name
In the next menu, you can set the file search by name.



Just select the default, check Search for all file names.
If you want a file whose name contains certain words to be skipped (not deleted), you can choose the second one (File name contains the following). In the available column, just enter the words you want to filter, separate them with commas.
Click the button again Next.
7. Select the Delete Duplicate Files Option
In this menu, you can specify where the duplicate files will be deleted later. After deleting it will go to the recycle bin, Rescue Center, or Permanently.



I prefer to choose the Recycle Bin instead. So that later if something goes wrong you can restore it. After checking again and you are sure, then you clear / clean the recycle bin of your laptop or PC to permanently delete files.
Note: If you haven’t cleaned the recycle bin, the hard drive capacity will not change much. The new hard disk capacity changes after you delete all the files that go to the recycle bin.
8. Scan Duplicate Files
In the next step, please start looking for duplicate files on this laptop or pc. Please just click on the button Search.
9. Select Duplicate Files Found
After the search process is complete, various double files will appear on your laptop or PC. Then just delete it.



Please click on the drop down menu beside the button Select. Then several options will appear there. Let’s hurry, you can choose Select All Duplicates in Each Group. You can also try to choose something else.
